Summary: Swapped 7500. Downloaded data. Ants in soil CO2 box.
| Alfalfa 2015-01-07 We arrived at around 13:00 PST. The road to the field was still flooded so like last week we drove along the edge of the field to the tower. The vegetation was still quite short (between ~2-5cm). Dennis made soil CO2 measurements while I downloaded data and swapped the 7500 (removed sn 75H-2182, installed sn 75H-2176). We also made spectral measurements. Didn't replace the HMP60 fan - should make sure to do that next time. There were a ton of ants in the soil CO2 box. Cove and Joe went back later in the afternoon to install ant traps (good thing they did since I had a forgetful moment while I was there early…..). The met and soil CO2 data looked good expect for FD temperature 2 which read –INF. 7500 readings: CO2 = 429 ppm before swap (424 after swap) H2O = 498 mmol m-3 before swap (477 after swap) signal strength = 80% before swap (89% after swap) p = 102 kPa t = 19 C Cleaned rad. Met looked good. |
