Summary: Field rolled. Put tower and ground instruments back in field. Need to build boardwalk. Replaced TC profile 1. Profile 2 needs new stick. Could not get 7700 to clean, latest software might help. Readings good.

Sara and I arrived around 10:00 PDT after dropping Dennis, Patty, and Wendy Silver to meet Bryan and company for the dog and pony show. The field has been rolled so we put the tower back into the field and installed all the ground sensors. We saw Bruce at the trailer and he said they probably wouldnâ€™t flood until a month or so. We should build a boardwalk to the tower before then.

Sonic N pointed at 77 degrees North (true).

Sara replaced TC profile #1, readings were good after install. The rod for Profile 2 is broken. We need to bring a new rod and retape the thermocouples to it next time.

When I first installed the well, the water pressure sensor read 0.22 and the water table was at 66 cm depth. A bit later the pressure sensor read 0.3 and the water table was at 61 cm.

I noticed the mirror spin on the 7700 while I was cleaning it, but there was no spray. I tried to force the instrument to clean but could not do so. Joe and I chatted later and we think it might be because there is a new software interface for the 7700 which has a lot more functionality. Weâ€™ll save settings using this interface next time, and see if it clears up the problem (could also be the root of the problem at Mayberry).

Tower readings:
CO2: 420 ppm (425 after cleaning) (spider webs in path)
H2O: 584 mmol m-3 (543 after cleaning)
SS: 80.1% (81.9% after cleaning)
P: 102.3 kPa
T: 28.2 C
sos: 351 m s-1

CH4: 2.02 ppm
RSSI: 54.4% (68% after cleaning)
