Summary: Hot, dry, smoky, I forgot the laptop - no data downloaded, checked soil co2 battery water levels, swapped wiring and mounting of PAR sensors.

I arrived at about 13:30 after visiting Tonzi. It was hot and dry but the sky was hazy with smoke and the sunlight dull and yellow. The air quality was supposed to be moderate (50-100 AQI) but I think it was kind of patchy.

I forgot to bring the laptop today so I could not download the data. I measured the well level.

I checked the water in the soil co2 battery bank sn BB-VR_soilco2. The water levels were low exposing the plates but these batteries didnâ€™t take that much water â€“ about a gallon to fill all of them. These are the auto parts store models as opposed to the Batteries Plus Duracell models. I think these cheaper models have less space in them for water. There was some corrosion on the lugs that should be cleaned up.

I checked to make sure the Licor was recording data. The box door was not latched â€“ I latched it.

I swapped the wiring and mounting of the PAR sensors on the tower but I didnâ€™t have a computer to change the program so I didnâ€™t remove the sensors. Sn 030381 traded places and wiring with sn 990031 and sn 040412 traded places and wiring with sn 990025. Sn 040412 is the new permanent incoming PAR sensor and sn 030381 is the new permanent reflected sensor.

I cleaned the radiometers. There was a little fine ash on things.

I left at about 14:30
