Summary: Added Arable cup anemometer, removed original PAR sensors and update CR1000 program. All seemed well.

I arrived at about 10:20. Siyan was already there. It was hot and hazy with little to no wind. Air quality was in the moderate range with new fires burning in Napa.

I added a cup anemometer which plugs into the Arable Mark II. The anemometer is mounted on a post connected to an existing fence post with hose clamps and is 2m above ground level. Its cable runs along the top fence wire then up the tower to the radiation boom where it plugs into a junction box, Aux Bridge, also supplied by Arable. The Aux Bridge has connections for power and data from the anemometer (also an unused SDI-12 connection) and supplies both power and data to the Mark II on the standard power plug. I remove a plastic power junction box and fed our existing wires into the Aux Bridge where I splice them in with a screw terminal. It seemed to be working.

I also removed the two old PAR sensors (sn 990025 incoming and sn 990031 outgoing) which I had already swapped into the testing positions. The cables on these sensors is completely rotted near the sensors. After collecting the data I updated the CR1000 program to remove the two PAR testing readings and columns.

The data seemed to be all complete even though it’s been about five weeks since it was last downloaded. I forgot the FD data in the morning and came back at about 14:30 to get it.

The 7500 read: 425.3ppm CO2, 377.5mmol/m3 H2O, 99.7kPa, 39.4C, 102.1SS

Siyan did the well, soil moisture, clip plots and went to the pond to collect the data there.
