I arrived about 9:30 with Jaclyn, Sara and Cove. It was warm and sunny with a cool breeze from the west. No noticeable change in the wetland plants since last week. Kristen Bird’s people were there again making measurements.

We moved the portable tower from Location One to Location Two. At Location Two the water level looked low. There was an area near the edge of the tules where the duckweed was sitting on top of wet, weed free ground. We aligned the sonic to true north. The RSSI was 12 before cleaning and 80 afterwards. Such a low RSSI made me check the setting to see if the auto spray was working. The heater and auto spray setting were off – probably changed at the factory. I reset things as best as I could remember. We set the spray settings so that we could actually see it spray and the spray worked just fine. Afterwards we returned the spray settings to a 10sec spray every 3 hours when RSSI is below 20. Needless to say the wash reservoir was full.

The truck has a tire that looks low on air on the right rear wheel.

At the Main Tower I downloaded all the data. The RSSI was 42 before cleaning and 82 afterwards. The wash reservoir was full.

Jaclyn, Sara, and Cove went out to the Tule Tower to collect water samples and clean the deeper open water DO sensors again. After cleaning the DO sensor it was reading –INF. If it is still reading bad next week, we will pull it for testing in the lab.

I swapped the LI700A head. Sn 2182 came off and sn 0065 went on. Again I had some trouble with this swap. Initially I unpowered the 7550 box and swapped the heads. The box seemed to boot okay, but I could not connect to it with the netbook. Without powering down I swapped the heads back and I could connect just fine. What finally seemed to work was to connect to the 7550 box with the original head attached and upload the configuration for the new head. Then without powering down or disconnecting, swap the heads. I think I’ll check the data next week just to make sure this worked.
