Summary: Collected data, field work, moved upper boardwalk away from eddy sensors.

2012-06-07 I arrived about 2pm with Sara and Carina. It was hot and sunny with a strong breeze from the west. The corn is bigger, but it is obvious where the planter ran out of seed the west of the tower. There are about eight rows of corn next to the tower the eight empty rows before the rest of the field. I collected data. Sara took another profile of soil cores and Corina made spectral measurements. I moved the upped boardwalk on the scaffolding to the side away from the eddy sensors to see if this improves and offset we are seeing in the vertical wind. The solar system was reading 13.2V, 2A solar, 0.6A load. |
