West Pond: 2012-06-07 13:00:00 (DOY 159)
Author: Joe Verfaillie

Summary: Swapped HMP60 shield, rewired power distribution in date logger box.

West Pond
2012-06-07

I arrived about 1pm with Sara and Carina. It was sunny and hot with a strong breeze from the west. Water was gushing out of the broken pipe in the south west corner of the pond, but the water level in the pond was about as low as I have ever seen it.

I talked to Jim on the morning of 06-08 and he said he would increase the flow of water on the ponds.

Sara checked the DO sensors but they seemed clean.

We collected data. I cleaned the LI7700 mirrors. I added bird spikes to the sonic and glued a mount for pikes to the LI7500.

I also replaced the HMP60 solar shield with a ventilated one. When I hooked up the fan I discovered that all the power was running through the CR1000. Adding the fan seemed to prevent the Licor GHG system from starting up. So I rewired things so that power goes to the power strip first and is then distributed to everything else. This seemed to fix the problem.
