Summary: Fixed Stardot wiring, check fence charger.

2011-12-01 I arrived with Siyan about noon. It was clear and sunny with a strong wind from the north. It seemed windier here than at tonzi ? maybe less protection from the trees. The grass seems to be waiting for more moisture. Some of the trees here still have leaves, but yellowing. The water hole was damp in the bottom, but no standing water. The cow fence here was intact and seemed to be working. I could get it to arc to the fence post. I replaced the power relay for the cameras. The new one has better wiring terminals but doesn?t fit as well in the box. I reran the wires for the Stardot camera to go through the wiring nut to better seal the enclosure. This meant cutting the RJ45 connector off the network cable and putting on a new on after the run. Afterwards all seemed well. There was some bird poop in the tipping bucket, but I don?t think it totally blocked the funnel as the tipper had a little bit of water in it. We returned to Tonzi about 1pm |
