2012-02-01 I arrived about 12 noon with Siyan. It was cool and overcast with a light breeze. The cows have heavily grazed the field. The cows also seemed hungry hanging around us waiting for something. They left after a while but were next to the gate on the way out. An insulator came off the gate on the cow fence and there maybe was a fresh cow patty inside. I extended the cow fence about 5m to the northwest, the back end behind the solar panels. The plan is to install the Vaisala CO2 sensors here. There didn’t seem to be enough power to turn the computer screen on. I plugged in an extra battery I had brought for Tonzi and that worked. The computer seemed to run fine without the screen. We might have problems adding the Vaisala without adding more power. There was some condensation in the pyranometer and I changed the desiccant. |
