Summary: Cows got inside the fence, changed Stardot settings, Bill Frost moved his fence.

2011-11-16 I arrived about 11:30. It was clear, sunny and warm with little to no wind. The ground seems dry and the grass looks stressed. The water hole is empty but still damp. The trees are yellowing. Cows had entered into the site. They knocked down the cow fence to the left of the gate. I don?t think they did any damage inside the fence. I guess the grass looked greener. I fixed all the fencing, but it?s hard to tell if the charger is working because the dial widow is too clouded by exposure to the sun. Bill Frost has moved his fence, but our Moisture Point probe is still inside. The probe is now in the southwest corner instead of the northwest corner. I changed the aperture on the Stardot camera. This should improve the depth of focus. I also updated some of the camera scripts to better follow file name formats and to match of FTP setup better. I cleaned bird poop from the radiometers. All else looked well. |
