Summary: Fence charger stolen, new autocam mounted, copied soil co2 data.

2011-11-16 I arrived about 6:30PST. It was just before dawn, clear and cool with no wind. There was very low layer of tule fog here and there. There was some standing water to the west and the ditches were damp, but the surface seemed quite dry. There was some dew on the dying grass and weeds. Someone has stolen the cow fence electric charger. The charger, battery and solar panel were gone. Nothing else seemed disturbed, including some spare aluminum on and next to the box. I installed a new camera above the existing camera. The new camera is a Canon A480 with CHDK firmware and custom script to take photos every 30 minutes. I collected the soil CO2 data and setup the daily rename for that data stream. I wiped dew from the radiation sensors and cleaned feathers from the tipping bucket. All else seemed well. |
