Summary: Super windy, one set of solar panels had fallen - fixed temporarily
2024-11-06 Mayberry Robert and I arrived at 10:10 PST. It was SO windy; today is a Red Flag Warning day for high winds and low humidities. It was cool, clear, and sunny. The older set of solar panels had fallen down. One of the bolts on the lower edge had come out through the rotted wood. Robert fixed it temporarily with a zip tie. The staff gauge read 56cm. I checked the precip bucket, it was clear. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. We need a replacement Campbell water level desiccant tube here. It fell into the water last time. I cleared one cattail leaf from under the sonic rangefinder. The rangefinder has been more messy in the past few months, and I think we have extras in the lab to replace it. Robert cleaned flux and rad sensors and measured the surface water conductivity. The reservoir was 70% full; he refilled it. 7500 read: 420pm CO2, 250mmol/m3 H2O, 17.1C, 101.0kPa, 99SS -- 100 after cleaning 7700 read: 1.95ppm CH4, 34RSSI – 73 after cleaning Surface, 1356uS, 11.5C We left at 10:30 PST. |

One of the solar panels fell down because the wood holding one of the bolts had rotted. Temporarily fixed with a cable tie.
