Summary: Installed site camera, copied data, Chistina install water sensors.

11/17/2010 I arrived with Christina about 8:30 after dropping Jaclyn off at Sherman. It was clear, sunny and warm with almost no wind perhaps just a breath from the east. The water level is higher than two weeks ago. Quite a few water birds around, but no huge flocks. I setup a Canon A480 as a standalone auto camera. It’s running off a car battery and a small solar panel. The camera is running a CHDK script to take photos every 30 minute from 7:15am to 7:45pm. The camera is positioned just to the east of the tower with the camera pointing west. Part of the sky and the wetland are visible with the top of the tower along the left edge of the frame. Christina installed some water sensors to the north of the tower. Then I returned to Sherman to get Jaclyn and brought her back to Mayberry. I copied the data and swapped the card on the CR1000. The RSSI was about 30. After cleaning the mirrors we got it up to about 60. The CR10X program was not outputting time in the dat file. I downloaded all the data and updated the program to include the year, day and time in the output. |
