Summary: Standard fieldwork, middle boardwalk rotten, workers pulling out irrigation pipes and drip line
Gilbert Tract 2023-12-22 Arman and I arrived at 10:05 PST. It was clear cool and sunny – a nice first day of winter. It rained the first half of the week but yesterday and today are dry. Workers seem to be pulling out all of the irrigation pipe and drip line on the levees. The tide was near high just under the boardwalk but still coming in. The water level was about 104cm at 10:50 – two fingers over the top of the staff gauge. I collected the flux, met, camera and miniDot data. Arman cleaned the eddy and radiation sensors. The 7500 read: 466.5ppm CO2, 597.9mmol/m3 H2O, 16.8C, 101.5kPa, 100.9SS The 7700 read: 2.1ppm CH4, 56RSSI – 85 after cleaning The wash reservoir was empty – refilled. The middle boardwalk where we usually put out tools is rotten – be careful if you want to stand on it. At Flo, when I connected to the serial port it didn’t ask for time sync or pressure calibration. I think it did complain about the firmware. I downloaded the data and it looked good. The real time data also looked reasonable. Since it didn’t do a time sync it was still logging. I stopped the logging are restarted the logging to generate a new file for next time. There were some ants in the box, I left them some moth balls. We left at about 11:50 |
