Summary: Corn harvest! Replaced dfPAR motor

Joe and I arrived at 14:40 PDT. This is the second day of Delta field work and the second visit to Bouldin Corn to fix the diffuse PAR sensor. Workers were harvesting our field and the field to our N. It was cool, sunny, and very dusty along the road and in the field as the harvesters went by. It looked like they were just stripping the cobs off this year. Most of the corn stalk is still left on the field.

Joe replaced the shorted RSB motor with a brand-new 0.5 RPM motor and a fancy motor mount so it’s offset from the side of the box. The PAR sensor is the same. I confirmed the PA was on, the met data looked ok, and the 7550 was blinking.

We left at 14:50 PDT.
