Joe and I arrived at 11:30 PDT. This is the second day of Delta field work because we didn’t finish all of the sites yesterday. It was mild and sunny with a gentle breeze. The wetland is starting to senesce. The staff gauge read 33cm.

I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. Joe cleaned flux and rad sensors. He noted that the 7700 hat needs new spikes, because many spikes are gone and the hat had lot of muddy bird feet prints. The reservoir was ¾ full; we refilled it.

The dfPAR motor quit 4 days since our previous visit. This motor was a Frankenstein of multiple motors and would speed up and slow down when the power cables were pulled, just like the motor previously at Gilbert Tract. Joe unplugged the motor and we’ll replace it with a new motor next time.

The water level sensor died on 2023-10-18. We brought sn 70011236 back to the lab for further testing. Probably it’s dead and we need to replace it with a new sensor.

The 7500 read: 422ppm CO2, 417 mmol/m3 H2O, 18.7C, 101.3kPa, 99.5SS – 105 after cleaning
The 7700 read: 2.0ppm CH4, 42RSSI – 70 after cleaning

I measured porewater conductivity from the sippers.
