Dennis, Arman, and I arrived at 12:30 PDT. Today was Arman’s first visit to the Delta and it was sunny and breezy. The corn has not been harvested yet and the plants are dark brown and withered. There was a woman cleaning at the Duck Club.

I downloaded met, cam, USB GHG, PA, and IRT data. Dennis and Arman cleaned flux and rad sensors. The LWin was a bit dusty. We topped off the wash reservoir.

The rotating shadowband has not been working for a few weeks. Joe put together a replacement enclosure with a motor (with fancy hardware so it’s offset from the edge of the box) and a shadowband. Dennis installed it and I attached the original PAR sensor. I accidentally wired in the motor wrong-the red wire was correct, but the black wire was attached to one of the white/green cables for the proximity sensor. After I corrected this, the band started spinning but very slowly. The motor should be getting 12V but it was only reading 3V and the CR1000 was browning out.
I called Joe and we decided the motor got shorted out somehow. I brought back the whole enclosure back to the lab.

The 7500 read: 410ppm CO2, 420mmol/m3 H2O, 18.6C, 102.9kPa, 96SS--101 after cleaning
The 7700 read: 2.06ppm CH4, 27RSSI--75 after cleaning

We left at 13:50 PDT.
