Daphne, Alex Knohl and I arrived at about 12:00 PDT. It was clear hot and sunny but there was a nice breeze that kept it from being an oven. Some of the trees here have a tinge of brown to their leaves. There is still some happy looking tar weed around. This is Alex’s first visit to the site since 2006.

We did the standard data collection. I collected the Tower and Floor met, flux and FD and camera data. Daphne did the soil moisture, DBH readings and serviced the z-cams, Alex measured the wells.
The Tower read: 417.4ppm CO2, 465.0mmol/m3 H2O, 29.2C, 98.9kPa, 103.9SS
The Floor read: 419.2ppm CO2, 444.9mmol/m3 H2O, 33.0C, 99.0kPa, 104.3SS
Both 7500s were dirty at first and I cleaned them.

I did midday water potential. The pressures were much larger this time ~-40bar.

I changed the fmet program to remove two columns from the reverse Bowen stats that I have been removing manually in the lab. These were the values including the untrustworthy pressure data.

We visually check the point dendrometers – their data will be collected next time.

We left at about 14:30 PDT
