Summary: Quick stop to retrieve the EXO and replace diffuse PAR motor.

I arrived at about 17:15. This was a quick stop after a day at Tonzi and Vaira to pick up the EXO and fix the RSB Diffuse PAR.

USGS helped removed our EXO from the channel earlier today. We came last week to retrieve it from the channel but the water level was too high then. The EXO was where USGS had left it for us - even a little bit camouflaged with some dead hyacinth and looking like any other flotsam.

At the tower I took apart the rotating shadow band and replaced the motor. I didn’t see any likely way water was getting in but I drilled some small holes in the bottom so that any water that gets in will drain out hopefully. The screws that hold the plastic box to the metal mount are loose and reaming out the plastic holes. I replaced one with a temporary larger screw.

I also added a hose clamp to the post holding the junction box for the water sensors. It looked like the cable ties were keeping the pipe in place but now there is a metal hose clamp too.

I left at about 18:00
