Summary: Quick stop to collect data. Fixed CTD that had its sdi-12 data hung up, cold and foggy
Hill Slough 2022-12-21 Hisashi, Kyoko and I arrived at about 9:30. It was cold (4C) and foggy. There was a light breeze from the east. Tide was pretty high with the staff gauge reading 4.97ft at 9:44. This was just a quick stop to grab data before the end of year holidays. I collected the met, USB, camera and minidot data. The 7500 read: 486.0ppm CO2, 302.1mmol/m3 H2O, 4.2C, 102.9kPa, 99.7SS – 101.5 after cleaning The 7700 read: 3.77ppm CH4, 38.5RSSI – 3.77ppm CH4, 69.1RSSI after cleaning There was a blob of water near the center of the mirror but not effecting the readings. The wash reservoir was refilled by half. I forgot a vial so no pore water for salinity. The CTD water level/salinity was not reporting. Cycling its power at the 23x seemed to fix it. I pulled it up and the cable was stiff with the cold but otherwise it looked okay. It may not have gone back to the same location as the cable was slow to hang straight again. The lithium power pack was showing all but one status light. Someone in a silver pickup stopped and honked their horn. When I waved from the tower they drove on – Katrina maybe? We left at about 10:00 for Tonzi and Vaira. |
