Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, 7700 calibration, swapped 7500 for calibration, changed eddy clocks -7 min, df PAR motor dead--needs to be replaced, no photos on camera card
| 2020-05-19 East End Joe and I arrived at 14:45 PDT. It was warm, breezy, and partly cloudy with large cumulus clouds. The wetland is half green. The tules were tall and seeding. Joe trimmed the plants by the rain bucket. The water level was 29 cm. We calibrated the 7700 sn TG1-0423. The offsets were small. We also swapped the 7500 for calibration: sn 75H-2182 came off and sn 0042 went on. I sent a new configuration file, updated the pressure coefficients, and reset the 7550 box. There was a clock sync error, and another 7550 box reset solved the error. I changed the eddy clocks from 14:57 to 14:50 to match the laptop time, and then reset the 7550 box again. I confirmed the 7700 was connected and the USB was logging. The diffuse PAR motor was dead. Joe confirmed the motor was getting power, and then disconnected the motor. We will replace it next time. I downloaded met, USB GHG, and miniDOT data. There were no photos on the camera card. I forgot to put a new desiccant in the miniDOT before I closed it up. Joe cleaned the flux and rad sensors. He also cleaned the conductivity sensor, which was pretty clean. The wash reservoir was ½ full; we refilled it. LI-7500 readings (sn 75H-2182 --> sn 75H-2182 after cleaning): I forgot to write the 7500 numbers after the sensor swap to sn 0042, but they were reasonable. CO2 402ppm --> 417 H2O 563ppm --> 461 T 23C --> 23 P 101.5kPa --> 101.5 SS 92--> 96 LI7700 readings (before calibration -->after cleaning --> after calibration): CH4 1.98ppm --> 1.97 --> 1.88 RSSI 52--> 83--> 79 We left at 15:55 PDT. |
