Summary: 7700 calibration and desiccant swap, Tipping bucket calibration, field mowed - cut alfalfa under tower. Bad HMP60 fan swapped.
| Bouldin Alfalfa 2019-10-22 Daphne and I arrived at 11:10. It was mostly clear, and mild with hazy horizons and a light breeze from the northeast. The alfalfa has been recently cut but not raked. We cut the alfalfa under the tower. The 7500 read: 494ppm CO2, 553mmol/m3 H2O, 20.7C, 10.2.2kPa, 100SS – 101 after cleaning The 7700 read: 2.95ppm CH4, 61RSSI – 84 after cleaning. The wash reservoir was mostly full. We calibrated the 7700. After calibration we swapped the 7700 desiccant flooding the head with the dry cal gas. The optics RH was 7% afterwards. The hat and auto-wash spray head were reinstalled. We also calibrated the tipping bucket sn 65560-615. After cleaning the tipping bucket we connected it to a CR23x and dripped 475ml of water through the bucket which should result in 100 tips. We got 103 tips – no adjustment needed. The HMP60 fan was dead. Swapped with new fan. We left at 12:00 |
