Summary: Standard data collection, lots of wasps, Installed Eosense CO2 probe
East End 2019-09-04 Daphne, Alex and I arrived at 14:20. It was clear, sunny, hot and humid with a few clouds and almost no breeze. There were lots of wasps buzzing around the tower but no obvious nests or gatherings. We forgot to write down the water level. The 7500 read: 397ppm CO2, 756mmol/m3 H2O, 33.9C, 100.9kPa, 95SS The 7700 read: 2.13ppm CH4, 41 RSSI The rad and flux sensors were cleaned but we forgot to write down the clean numbers. The wash reservoir was mostly empty – refilled. Alex cleaned the Phenocam window. There are some overnight spikes/messiness in PARin--we just swapped this sensor out at the end of July for overnight spikiness. Daphne re-wired the sensor at the datalogger, and we should keep an eye on it. I put a leash on camera post but could not connect it to the pin. I need a new relatively long 3†pin. We installed a new Eosense CO2 sensor sn GP20160096 (1% range). The miniDot seemed to be sitting on the bottom so I raised it a little (its top was just above water) and attached the CO2 probe to the plastic chain to hang next to the miniDot. We cut some plants along the boardwalk and around the tipping bucket. We left at 14:55 |
