Summary: Removed eosGP sensor because it was railed high, cut veg around solar panels, found camera enclosure that was stolen last year.
East End 2019-09-18 Daphne and I arrived at 13:45. It was muggy and partly cloudy with fluffy clouds moving east with the breeze. This wetland is beginning to look yellow – mostly due to the cattails. Water level was 31cm. Tyler mentioned he might be here later today to collect samples for incubations. (Note 2020-09-28 Daphne: Water level sensor was probably moved by either us or Tyler on this day). The 7500 read: 404ppm CO2, 721.3mmol/m3 H2O, 24.9C, 101.2kPa, 96SS – 98 after cleaning The 7700 read: 1.95ppm CH4, 30RSSI – 80 after cleaning The wash reservoir was nearly empty – refilled. We manually tested the wash and spin and everything seemed well. There might have been some bird poop on the lower mirror that used up the water reservoir. I cleaned the tipping bucket – there was some dry dust and cattail fluff in the funnel. The eosGP sn GP20160096 is maxing out in the air – removed again for more testing. I cut vegetation around the solar panels. There were some really big tules growing there. I also cleaned a bunch of otter poop off the boardwalk where the batteries sit. I found the camera case from when the camera was stolen last year. It was probably in the weeds along the levee and had been revealed by the recent intensive sheep grazing. No spikes seen in PARin this time. The miniDot data was collected and its desiccant swapped. The water level desiccant was swapped. |

Joe trimmed tules in front of the solar panels. Some of the tules were 3.5+cm in diameter.
