Summary: Turned off water and pulled boards to drain the pond, tried to repair boardwalk, replaced HMP60 fan but need 12V instead of 24V or change to power wire.

Daphe, Alex and I arrived at 12:30 PDT. It was clear, sunny, hot and humid with only a few clouds and almost no breeze. Goats have done a good job clearing weeds from the levees.

We turned the inlet off to drain the pond for a quick draw down and to facilitate soil cores next week. Alex and Daphne pulled boards at both outlets to drain the pond. At the western outlet five boards (~50cm) were pulled. The eastern outlet is more over grown and three boards (~30cm) were removed. Before the boards were pulled the difference in water level between the pond and the drains was more them 50cm.

The water level was 49cm at the tower - relatively high.

There were lots of wasps around but no obvious nests.

The 7500 read: 412ppm CO2, 650mmol/m3 H2O, 32.5C, 101.0kPa, 97SS â€“ 98 after cleaning
The 7700 read: 2.2ppm CH4, 34RSSI â€“ 69 after cleaning
The wash reservoir was 1/4 empty â€“ refilled.

The flux and rad sensors were cleaned as well as the phenocam window.

The HMP45 fan was replaced. It needed a 12V fan but all we had was a 24V fan â€“ replace next time.

I worked on fixing the boardwalk that leads into the wetland. The beginning on the boardwalk has sunk into the muck. With the high water level it was difficult to fix. I found about four pieces of boardwalk submerged in the muck. I was able to free two but there are at least two more that need to be dug out. Then some new supports need to be built before the boardwalks can be reinstalled.
