10/15/2009 Arrived about 12:30 PDT. Clear, sunny, warm. The corn field to the east was all blown down by the storm – looks like strong wind from the south east. Some blow down in the rice too. Some rice was harvested from the northern section of Field 1 on Monday 10/12 along the edges and a little deeper than the end of our measurement berm. The edges have been mowed as well, but some still standing straw on either side of the measurement berm. Processor says rice is still too wet (green). Probably continue harvest next week. Instruments running, LGR in 1Hz slow flow mode. Generator went down on 10/10. I think I fixed the problem of the LGR starting up in slow flow mode. I shut it down properly in Hi flow mode and on restart it remained in hi flow mode. Even after pulling the plug it returned to hi flow after power was returned. LGR Stats: 12:13PST, 1.8970ppm, 19670.1ppm, 396.94ppm, 27.76C, 145.7Torr, 18.1108usec, 10Hz. Pressure was 132 but I adjusted bypass valve to bring it back to 145.7. Laptop was sleeping due to generator outage, web cam photos not collected. I need to power computer from solar system. Data collected, card swapped. Rain reported incorrectly due to but in CR23X program – will fix next time out. Now wind data from sonic at height of storm. |
