Summary: LGR locked up due to high temp in box, LGR removed due to dirty mirrors and bad pressure.

I arrived about 7:30PDT with Jaclyn. It was windy and cool, but warming with some high thin clouds. The pepper weed near the site looks heavily trampled by the cows. There was some water in the west end of the ditches and the field is generally green in color. We saw an otter enter the drainage ditch near the road.

When I opened the box the scroll pump was running, the LGR had locked up. Its screen was showing:
16:06PST, 59.70C, 150.21Torr, 12.813usec, 10Hz, 1.895ppm

Looking at the data files, this seemed to have occurred on 9/24. The CR1000 in the box recorded panel temperatures in the 50C-60C range through many of the midday periods from 9/23 to 9/30. The AC seemed to be working, not looking at the data I’m not so sure.

I hard reset the LGR and it seemed to come up okay. I put it in slow mode and disconnected the hoses from the scroll pump and then put in back in high flow to hear the fell the scroll pump run at atmospheric. It seemed to run okay. I connected it back up. The LGR was reporting 45Torr and a ring time of 4.2usec in slow flow and back in high flow it was reporting:
7:53PST, 27.10C, 147.19Torr, 4.218usec, 1.3ppm.

I pulled the LGR for mirror cleaning and troubleshooting of the low pressure.

I had the LI7700 that I was going to give to Frank to put it on the ponds but didn’t have the mounting equipment to mount it at Sherman. But I held on to it instead of giving it to Frank in case I need to install it at Sherman next week.

I talked to the technician that recently rebuilt the scroll pump and he said if it sounds okay it probably is.

I collected data and swapped the CR1000 card. I wrote “Hot” on the card so I will know which one was exposed to the heat.
