Summary: Replaced PC batteries, removed PAR sensors.
| June 9 - I arrived at vaira and discovered pc had shut itself down - replaced battery that I removed - this PC will not allow removal of the battery - unlike PCs at Tonzi tower and floor systems which will operate without batteries. removed par sensors leads from data logger and measured output with multimeter - showing 6.5 mvolt and showed continuity between shield wire and case body. This tends to confirm that the sensitivity of the PAR sensors at Tonzi has changed and that it is not related to grounding or some other problem. What is the history of the PAR sensors at Tonzi? Were they ordered/received at the same time as the ones at Vaira. Were they new or were they used somewhere else? Were they ever taken on a airline to Oregon or elsewhere and possibly exposed to a x-ray security scan? Left sites to return rental van to Oakland by 14:00 Saturday (closing time) and avoid charge for Sunday and Monday. |
