Twitchell Alfalfa: 2018-05-16 09:10:00 (DOY 136)
Author: Joe Verfaillie
Others: Daphne
Summary: Thunderstorms to the north, fixed HMP fan wire, 7500 dirty.
Twititchell Alfalfa 2018-05-16 I arrived at 9:10 with Daphne. It was cool and breezy with dark thunderclouds and lightening to the north and sunny partly cloudy skies to the south. The western part of the field looks to be mostly alfalfa but the eastern part is about 50-50 weeds and alfalfa. The field to the south has been mowed and was being baled. The 7500 read: 373.0ppm CO2, 610.5mmol/m3 H2O, 15.8C, 101.9kPa, 97.4SS I don’t have the after cleaning numbers but the other sites had similar initial readings that move closer to 410ppm CO2 and 450mmol/m3 H2O. Something in the air (pollen?) seemed to be affecting all the sites. Also the computer bag was missing its Ethernet cable so I borrowed the one between the CR1000 and switch. The HMP60 fan wire was broken. Daphne fixed it replacing the screw terminal. Solar panel, radiation sensors and arable all got cleaned. We left at 9:35 |
