West Pond

We arrived at 13:40. It was partly sunny with a gentle breeze, but you can see the storm clouds looming. The willows by the road are coming back with new sprouts. There’s a gate on the road between WP and the Twitchell Island Ferry Road which was closed but not locked.

The wash reservoir was mostly full; Elke topped it off. There was no time sync error between the 7500 and 7700. When I tried to eject the USB, got a slow blink LED on the 7550 which means error. I took out the old USB, put in the new USB, and reset the box.

Elke collect met, camera, and USB data. She checked the Licor GHG columns, but everything looks ok; I’m not sure why there are extra wind data columns with the 7700 data. Alex cleaned the flux and rad sensors. I brushed out the camera enclosure, but I would like to swap the enclosure because this one is wobbly and dew forms on the inside of the enclosure window.

LI7700 readings:
CH4 2.0 ppm
RSSI 58--> 74 after cleaning
