Summary: Regular data collection, alfalfa tall enough to take veg heights
| We arrived at 15:00. It was overcast/foggy, cool, with a light breeze. We drove on the levee around to the south(?) side of the field; we parked the car on the levee and walked down to the tower. The alfalfa was taller than we expected. I collected met and GHG USB data and swapped the camera CF card. Elke refilled the wash reservoir and Kyle cleaned the eddy flux and radiation sensors. Elke took alfalfa veg height measurements (cm): 24, 12, 10, 16, 11, 18, 17, 20, 17, 23, 23, 20, 19, 18, 25, 12, 17, 11, 12, 9. The LI7700 had a "time not synchronized" error message. Elke reset the Licor box and the error message went away. LI7500 readings: CO2 425.8 ppm H2O 413.2 mmol/m3 T 9.9 C P 101.9 kPa SS 78.0 -> 78.4 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4: 2.13 ppm RSSI: 44.5 -> 78.8 after cleaning We left around 15:15. Next time: Bring a bird spike for the LI7500 |
