Summary: Picked up parts for T&RH solar shield assembly for repairs.
| Where: Tonzi When Who: Ted Hehn This week I was able to mount the PC enclosure, the licor enclosure, the sonic and licor mount bracket (with anti fall stop) short one quick coupler, install the power line from the tower base to the top (with junction boxes purchased in Jackson on my card). It is a clean installation done the right way that will last the duration of the 2-3 years remaining on this grant. Having to leave a day early to supervise the Beackman crew precluded me from performing the planning and construction of the net par mount bracket and repairing the T&RH solar shield mount assembly. These tasks are not easily performed in the field and consequently I removed the tray apparatus from the top of the tower and brought it back with me. I believe it will be necessary to remove the tray walls (too much reflection) and expanded metal portion attached to that apparatus to facilitate mounting instruments. The expanded metal portion can then be modified to function as a trap door on the upper most section eliminating any possibility of falling down the stairs while working on top. Are you OK with that? On 24 Apr I changed the execution interval on the TONZI 23x from 2 sec to 6 sec - the delays that were used in that program to wait until the probe readings stabilized totaled 5 sec so data loss resulted from the 2 sec setting I also changed the execution interval on the TONZI CR 10 from 2 sec to 4 sec for the same reason as above. A precip guage was also added at the Tonzi site - data was appended to the end of the output file in units of inches Please note these changes in your records |
