I arrived about 10:30 with Siyan. It was mostly cloudy and cool with a little breeze. The ground is wet but the road was not sloppy except for a couple of low spots.

The tower computer was running but there were some gaps in the raw files, although the main flux data recorded by the CR1000 seemed complete. Still, in the interest in reducing power consumption and upgrading I swapped in the Intel Compute Stick. I finally figured out how to make a connection to the Stardot pheno-cam. Apparently it doesnâ€™t need a cross-over Ethernet cable â€“ a straight through worked. So I pulled out the old computer and put in the Compute Stick. Things are still kind of a mess but connections to the pheno cam, co2 profile, tram, winflux and CR1000 were okay.

The CO2 profile system was not working. The LI-820 was giving negative readings and the flow was little or nothing for all channels. I removed the LI-820 for cleaning, and unplugged the pump and data logger. After talking with Dennis, the plan is to completely replace the system.

The circuit board for the LED sensor was all corroded. I pulled it and the downward sensor (because it was easiest) to see if it can be cleaned up and put back into working condition. I cleaned the other radiation sensors.

I swapped the Tower 7500: sn 0418 came off and sn 0035 went on
Siyan swapped the Floor 7500: sn 0042 came off and sn 0073 went on

Siyan collected data and did the standard field work.

All the fences were broken by cows. At the tower the cows had knocked over the stand for the floor HMP45 and this pulled a SHF plate out of the ground. We fixed the stand and I reburied the SHF plate.

The tram was stuck at the end of its track. I reset it and it started to run before we left.

I swapped a Vaisala probe. Tree 1 at 2cm sn X5050014 out, sn L2010069 in
I was going to swap the 4cm too but I couldnâ€™t tell which was 4cm and which was 8cm. One was a 3% probe sn G0150036, the other was a 1% probe sn Z2720013

There were no photos from z-cam 2. I need to replace that cable.
