Summary: Field is being irrigated, soil co2 program to saving data - fixed, relay swapped, power converter added.

I arrived about 1pm. It was clear, warm and windy. The alfalfa field is being irrigated. A ditch to the north of the field is full of water and the road to the south and to the tower are also wet and muddy. I drove on the alfalfa to the tower. The field is clear of cuttings and bales. The alfalfa is already 10 to 20cm high. The field to the south is flowering heavily.

I checked on the soil CO2 system. Seems there was a bug in the CR1000 program that was causing the 30min averages no to be saved. I was using a flag to enable the table only during the three minutes at mid half-hour when measurements are made. But it seems that if the table is not enable at the end of the half hour when the data is written then that doesnâ€™t happen. I changed the flag to enable the individual channels instead. I ran this at five minute intervals and it seemed to work.

I also swapped out the relay for a solid state Crydom one and added a 24 to 12VDC, 3A converter to the 24V bus to power the Forerunner probes. This seemed to work well. Next time we should add the Theta probes to this switched 12V power next time.

The autocam seemed to be working.

I cut grass around the scaffolding and solar panels. I also dug out around the solar panels where the squirrels had been trying to bury them. I donâ€™t see any new squirrel activity near the tower.
