Summary: Standard site visit. Check water CO2 probe temperature in the data.

West Pond
2013-09-18

We arrived around 10:30 PDT. It was windy, sunny, and warm (24 C). The tules and cattails continue to brown at the tops. The inlet was running strong and the water under the tower was above the high water mark. There is a lot of green duckweed floating on the surface. Joe and I attended to the tower while Laurie went and grabbed water samples.

7500 readings:
CO2 = 389 ppm (same after cleaning)
H2O = 420 mmol m-3 (same after cleaning)
signal strength = 83.5% (84.0% after cleaning)
t = 24.7 C
p = 101.1 kPa
sos = 347.8 m s-1

7700 readings:
CH4 = 1.9 ppm (same after cleaning)
RSSI = 53 (86 after cleaning)
Reservoir was 5/6 full.

MET looked good, except possibly the thermocouple associated with the CO2 probe. It was reading 14 C while the other water TCs were reading 17-18 C. We should check the data for any problems.
