Summary: Updated CR23X program, installed CS615 TDR probes, reseated SHF plates, standard fieldwork.

I arrived about 11:30 with Sara, Carina and Laurie. It was clear, sunny and hot. The morning breeze had died to almost nothing. The fields look okay. Most of the weeds are dying from the herbicide of two weeks ago. Still some big gaps especially along the edges.

I collected all the data. All looked well.

I uploaded a new CR23X program to clean up accumulated stuff and swap the Theta probes for CS615 probes. Soil heat flux plate number four was moved to the empty channel number two.

I installed the CS615 sensors in the field, completely submerged.

The Li7700 RSSI was 45 before cleaning and 62 afterwards. The herbicide they used had an oil base, so we might need some soap to get the film off the instruments.

SHF 1 was upside down – I fixed this. SHF 2 was a little strange and I reseated it.

I moved the clip for the autocam arm so that is folds towards the tower now and the camera stays in position during the fold.

I picked up some scaffolding railing for Martin to use at Tonzi next week.
