Summary: Soil sensors pulled on Monday, field disked and plowed, radiation boom rotated to south.

4/13/2011 I arrived about 9:45PDT with Jaclyn and Gavin. It was cool and windy with scattered showers. The wind was from the southwest. The field is being plowed with tractors working in the south and north checks while we were there. Directly upwind from the tower has been plowed. Our ground sensors were removed by Jim probably on Monday. We swung the radiation boom 90 degrees to the south to encourage tractor work closer to our tower. All was running when we arrived. The computer was on meaning there hasn’t been any long drops in power in the last three weeks. The LGR screen was left on last time. The LGR read: 9:46PDT, 23.66C, 125.38Torr, 16.908usec, 10Hz, 1.857ppm I adjusted the bypass valve until the pressure read 146.16Torr. We copied data, and swapped cards. The rain bucket was clear. We met Frank who has moved his tower to the northwest corner of the west pond. I could see large differences in the amount of green tule in different areas of the pond. The current upwind area looks less green than the downwind area. |
