Summary: Swapped tram battery, collected data, spectra, moisture point. Brought in floor supplimental sensors.

I arrived from Vaira about 12:15.

The high thin clouds of the morning disappeared and the afternoon was sunny and warm with little wind. No leaves on the trees. Short green grass is everywhere. The ground is very wet with puddles in low places.

The tram was not running due to dead battery. I swapped the battery and it ran at 1pm and 2pm.

I collected data at the tower (7.8GB free here). Some missing data due to power, but I need to look at the data more closely to make a decision about swapping the batteries. The charge controller reported 13.4V and a load of 3.4A with the screen on and 2.6A without. The indicator light on the solar charger indicated that the batteries were fully charged.

I checked the z-cams and cleaned their windows. All were operational. I did not swap cards.

I copied data from the floor tower. Data seemed better here. The floor solar system reported 14.1V, 13.3A solar and 2.2A load.

The soil CO2 system seemed to be running well. The solar here reported 26.9V, 4.1A solar and 0.4A load.

I measured the well depths in reference to the mark on the black thing:

I measured six spectra.

The sap flow system to the west of the tower had blown down some time before Siyan’s last visit. The data logger box had some water in it and condensation of the data logger and multiplexor. I propped up the box with its door open and facing down. Hopefully it will dry out and not get more water in it.

I brought in the additional radiation and heat flux sensors I set up near the floor site for Hideki.

I cleaned the radiometers and tipping bucket at the top of the tower. The tipping bucket seems to have become a favorite perch. I need to figure out a deterrent.
