Summary: power problem at Vaira and Tonzi-Tower

Siyan Ma * Sunny at Berkeley; foggy when passing the Delta; cloudy at Tonzi and Vaira * Met Rebecca at Tonzi. She was collecting litters from the litter bags. She likes to survey grass species in the spring again. * Saw cows at Tonzi. Muddy road after cows went on. Vaira: 1. No power when arrived. I pushed the reset button on the regulator, and the readings were: 11.9, 2.0, 2.9. 2. Missing data started on Day 17, late afternoon. 3. Swap Li-7500: removed #1596; installed #65. 4. Vaira grassland looked less litter above grasses. 5. Cleaned up bird craps stuck in Rain gauge. 6. Soil Moisture probe near gate was easy to be pulled out. I tried pushing it in a little bit. 7. downloaded data successfully. Tonzi-Tower: 1. No power when I got there. Reset and readings on the regulator were: 11.4, 0.0, 5.2. 2. I wasn’t able to download data at the beginning, but data were downloaded before I left. At that moment, sun came out in a short period. Tonzi-Floor; 1. Power on when I got there. Reset and readings on the regulator were: 12.1, 3.5, 1.9. 2. I wasn’t able to download data at the beginning, but data were downloaded eventurally. 3. Readings from soil CO2 profile system: Open 2410 1350 1480 1160 Under trees 3480 3240 4720 9430 Others: 1. soil moisture machine turned off and on itself during the performance. 2. ground water sensor seems broken because the beep sounds could last all the way after the sensor had been back to the top. 3. need 3-4 blue covers for soil moisture probes. Data collected this time: 1. soil moisture 2. download groundwater continuous data 3. spectrometer at Vaira 4. dendrometer 5. swap 3 camera cards at Tonzi. |
