Sharmila and I arrived around 09:30 PST (10:30 PDT). It was mild and breezy with clear skies and a really nice view of Mt. Diablo. It’s only been a week since our last visit, but the schedule has been jiggered around because of Hill Slough soil sampling and the wetlands' CRAM assessment. There will be a major heat wave over the next two weeks.

Sharmila is an undergraduate student visiting AMP for a week and using Ameriflux data for her senior thesis. Today was her first time visiting a wetland!

The staff gauge read 53cm.

I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. Together we cleaned the flux and rad sensors. The reservoir was full so we did not refill it.

The 7500 read: 420ppm CO2, 650mol/m3 H2O, 23.2C, 100.5kPa, 99SS – 101 after cleaning
The 7700 read: 1.97ppm CH4, 38RSSI – 68 after cleaning

We took surface and porewater conductivity measurements. Sharmila got to try out both sampling from the sippers and measuring/recording data. We attempted all of the vegetated sippers today. There were two more that were clogged in the blue profile (black 40cm and green 50cm).

We will sample both the open and vegetated sippers next visit.
