Hill Slough: 2024-06-03 16:00:00 (DOY 155)
Author: Daphne Szutu
Others: Arman
Summary: Warm and windy, attempted to swap boardwalk wood but couldn't get bolts loose, reservoir almost empty--refilled
2024-06-03 Hill Slough Arman and I arrived at 16:00 PST (17:00 PDT). It was warm and very windy. There was another sedan parked in our usual spot, next to a pile of large appliances someone had dumped. We parked just off of the road. The staff gauge read 4.2ft at 16:25 PST. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. The wash reservoir was almost empty; Arman refilled it. Arman cleaned flux and rad sensors. He didn’t see anything particularly dirty about the 7700, but there were some spiderwebs on the spars he cleaned off. We measured porewater and surface water conductivity. Sample, Temperature-compensated conductivity, Temperature Surface, 2193uS, 24.6C Porewater, 4.9mS, 22.5C The 7500 read: 410ppm CO2, 575 mmol/m3 H2O, 23.6C, 101.4kPa, 94SS -- 97 after cleaning The 7700 read: 1.95ppm CH4, 49RSSI – 87 after cleaning I downloaded the CR23X data at the channel. I still need to figure out why the CTD conductivity data is not getting sent to the CR1000. We attempted to swap the plywood in the upper boardwalk. At least 3 of the bolts were rusty. We sprayed them with WD40 but couldn’t get them off. We left at 16:35 PST (17:35 PDT). |
