Summary: Standard data collection, grass is high, performance check on west FD - forgot to replace.

Daphne and I arrived at about 11:00 PDT. It was warm and dry with a gusty wind from the north. On the way in from Sacramento we could see snow in the Sierras and a fire burning in the foothills to the east (I can’t find any news on the fire). There was a bit of rain last weekend and there are still puddles on the road today. The grass has grown a lot since I was here last – denser, taller. The trees still look a little thin on leaves but not much of the bright green of fresh leaves left. The usual keyed lock on the gate was out of the loop and another combo lock was added. A combo I got from Dale in December last year let us in and let us put the usual lock in the loop.

Daphne did the well measurement, veg height and spectral measurements. I collected the flux, met, camera and FD data.
The 7500 read: 415ppm CO2, 359.7mmol/m3 H2O, 22.7C, 99.4kPa, 103.3SS

The radiometers were clean and I knocked some weeds down around the solar panels. Daphne pulled some mustard plants.

I ran a performance check on the west FD chamber. It was reading about 878ppm and was reset to 400. I turned the FD chamber upside down to expose both chambers to ambient CO2, but forgot to put it back afterwards. We will be out next week to work at Tonzi and can fix it then.

We left at about 11:40 PDT.
