Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, visitors from UCSC, a few small plants coming up

I arrived at 14:00 PDT with Luna and J.J. from UCSC, who are technicians responsible for the Elkhorn Slough towers. It was mild with a cool breeze. We’ve had more rain in the past two weeks and more to come. Some of last year’s tules along the road are still barely green, and there are a few tiny cattails and tules coming up through the thatch. The water level has come down a bit here and the staff gauge read 69cm.

I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. I collected half a gallon of water by the tower for the Knightsen field trip next month. I changed the eddy clock +45sec at 13:24 PST to match the laptop time and restarted logging.

Luna and J.J. cleaned flux and rad sensors. The wash reservoir was ½ full; they refilled it. There are some wasps in the wash box.

The 7500 read: 420ppm CO2, 467mmol/m3 H2O, 20.7C, 101.7kPa, 998S – cleaned?
The 7700 read: 2.0ppm CH4, 79SS after cleaning
