Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, rained last night, water level has come down a bit, willows have flowers and leaves, changed eddy clock +2min
2022-03-15 West Pond Robert and I arrived at 12:15 PDT. It was calm and mostly overcast but the sun was coming out. It had rained about <0.5cm last night and early this morning. Workers were dredging the main channel parallel to the gravel road. The water has come down a bit since our last visit--the staff gauge read 82cm. The wetland is well blown down and the willow trees by the tower had flowers and leaves out. Robert cleaned flux and rad sensors. I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. Joe and Dennis were here last week on the way back from Tonzi to install a new HMP sensor--its data looked good this time. I changed the eddy clock from 11:19 to 11:21 to match the laptop time and restarted logging afterwards. The reservoir was 95% full. We didn't refill it because the enclosure was full of wasps. LI-7500 readings: CO2 406ppm H2O 664ppm T 19.6C P 102.6kPa SS 96--> 99 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 1.98 ppm RSSI 76--> 85 after cleaning We left at 12:30 PDT. 0.5-1cm more rain is forecast for Saturday. |
