Joe, Ariane, and I arrived at 15:30 PDT. It was warm and humid, with blue skies above but a grey-brown band of wildfire smoke near the horizon to the north and east. The caterpillars continue their cattail buffet around the tower and boardwalkâ€”most cattails we can see look chewed.

I checked the staff gauge but forgot to write it down in my notes and I canâ€™t remember what it was. But Joe remembered - the staff gauge read 83cm.

Ari measured the sonic orientation using my phone at 18 deg true N. This matches what Joe measured in May. The flux code opts has the sonic orientation at 4 deg true N, so the this siteâ€™s wind direction output probably needs to be amended. I will have to go through the field notes to see when the sonic orientation changed.

Ari cleaned flux and rad sensors. I topped off the wash reservoir. I downloaded met, camera, USB GHG, and miniDOT data. I swapped in fresh desiccant for the miniDOT and water level sensors and put in new lithium batteries for the miniDOT.

Joe cleaned the solar panels and loaded the cal gas tank we had brought out to use with Pattyâ€™s LGR during the methane hotspot sampling experiment. We are bringing the gas tank back to the lab now that Patty has removed the LGR.

We left at 15:55 PDT. Blackberries are ready to be picked, but we had to head back to Berkeley to return our car on time. Next time.
