I arrived at 10:15 PST. It was a chilly, mostly overcast, and calm day. Someone had tampered with the Mayberry cable again; someone had removed the center post so that you could just roll over the cable (Joe emailed photos to Bryan). The trailers just off the levee had their doors open, there was one guy in a boat fishing in the slough, and I could hear hunting sounds. At the tower, the water looked pretty brown and was barely moving. The staff gauge read 30cm.

I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. I downloaded and cleared the FD chamber. I cleaned the flux and rad sensors. The radiometers had a lot of condensation on their sensors. The wash reservoir was 10% empty; I refilled it. I collected water samples for Isabel at 10:40. The eddy clocks looked ok.

I updated the CR1000 program so that the conductivity data from sn 7157 is getting saved in the main conductivity columns instead of the new columns I had originally set up for the conductivity comparison. I need to double check that the cable length is correctly entered in the program here and at SW.

Even though the flurometer brushes were right on the edge of the lenses when I checked, the fluorometer data still looked noisy, so I removed the arm with the brushes. I put a little bit of the silicone electric grease on the threads under the nut. There was a bit of grime building up around the outside edges of the lenses, which I wiped off. Hopefully the lenses can remain clean for the next 3 weeks without the brushes.
