Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, hunting day, 7700 spin problems?, Apogee_in still has gaps
2020-12-16 East End I arrived at 12:50 PST. It was chilly and it was a lot foggier here than on Sherman Island earlier in the day, but there was some weak sunshine coming in through the clouds. There were about 4-5 cars parked by the rice fields for the hunting day. At the tower, the staff gauge read 27cm. The wash reservoir was empty; so I refilled it. I tested the spray, which worked fine, but the spin didn’t seem very efficient. Even after 30 seconds of spinning after spraying ended, the RSSI had only risen from 0 to around 20%. I was going to adjust the spin time (currently at 30 seconds), but I forgot. I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. I cleaned the flux and rad sensors. The radiometers had some condensation on their sensors. Moving SHFP1 to another mux channel last time worked well to get rid of the gaps. However, NDVI_Apg_in still had occasional nans, even though I had added a DisVar flag in the datalogger program to ignore nans in the 30-min average. I power cycled the Apogee sensors, but not sure what else to do. LI-7500 readings: CO2 464ppm H2O 450ppm T 11.1C P 102.2kPa SS 102 --> 102 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 2.4 after cleaning RSSI 20 --> 80 after cleaning I left at 13:20 PST. |
