Summary: Swapped 7700, added test system for cross check T, RH and PAR, upgraded DC power strips
West Pond 2020-11-19 Daphne and I arrived at 12:05. We stopped and had a quick chat with Bruce at the gate on the way in. It was a very pretty fall day – mild and sunny with a cool breeze. The inlet was not running, the vegetation is golden and the water level was 8cm. Daphne swapped out the 24V and 12V power strips for the newer pluggable and color coded power strips. While she was working on that I mounted the test system with the HMP155 sn R0360206, the Ameriflux PAR sn 060831 and the two globe thermometers on the CR1000 sn 4190. The mounts were a bit difficult because this scaffolding doesn’t have the usual railing on top. The HMP155 is on the post with the HMP60. The globe thermometers are a bit lower and the PAR is on the radiation boom near the other sensors. The first fine wire TC on the globe thermometers is not reading. I cleaned dirt, fluff and bugs out of the HMP60 shield. We started to calibrate the 7700 but it was being reported as “unknown sensor†by the Licor software. Daphne tried disconnecting and reconnecting it in the software. The data looked okay. Since we had the 7700 from BA we decided to swap the 7700 here – sn TG1-0224 came off and sn TG1-0421 went on. Then we calibrated 0421. 7700 0224 read: 1.99ppm CH4, 61RSSI 7700 0421 read: 2.0ppm CH4, 80RSSI – 2.1ppm CH4, 77RSSI after calibration. The 7500 read: 403ppm CO2, 552mmol/m3 H2O, 16.9C, 102.5kPa, 96ss – 101 after cleaning. Daphne downloaded the miniDot data, swapped its desiccant and the water level desiccant. She added a new longer chain on the mindDot, but it was still just barely in the water. The camera window had condensation right in front of the lens. I tried to move the fan around to blow more across the window but I’m not sure it will help. We left at 13:45 |
