Day 3

The warmest of the four days, was clear, hot and calm all day.

The Tonzi Floor site spun like a top. From this time onward I made sure to take notes.

I had never noticed how small the scalar variances are relative to the means. The vector variances are much larger. Are the scalar fields less “intense” and why so?

I got into the habit of checking the PC208 Status of Communications window which shows error messages such as:

CR23X6 Area 2 does not exist
Area 1 at location 15361, collected 20 FS words
Overrrun error count: 99

CR10X2 low battery shut down error

Etc.

Most of the data loggers showed a similar sequence of errors. CR23X3 also showed a low battery shut down.

All area 2 read 0/0 collected
Area 1 read 52/52 collected

There were generally 0% or 1% errors.

When I checked Numerics, I noticed that on CR23X6:

RH 75.619 seemed really big. There’s no way there was that much humidity in the air. The LICOR 6400 was showing much smaller values, as were all other RH measurements I saw that day.

Some of Nancy’s hpv values are negative.

PC208 was cycling through Ports 1 and 4 but not 5, 6, 7 or 8 while I was watching. At one point, Ports 1-4 all activated at the same time, and then it started cycling again. I thought this looked rather strange.
