Day 2

Saturday morning was grey and overcast, with clearing later in the day. It was the coolest of the four days.

When I checked on the Tonzi Floor system, I found that the system had not been collecting data since it rebooted at 4:30 am. The problem was that PC208 couldn’t find gillsonic.exe. As Dennis noted, I changed the call to gillso~1.exe and the frequency to 5 minutes and everything was fine. We did lose data from 4:30 am to 1:30 pm.

I visited Vaira and believed that everything was fine. When I left Vaira, gillsonic was running and I believed that data were being collected. Later, this became a problem. As I will describe below, Dennis and I both started gillsonic.exe in the wrong fashion, causing missing data.

I also checked on the Tonzi Tower system on Day 2. Everything appeared fine, but I am not sure how to properly start gillsonic on the tower system, since PC208 does not run on that system. The first time I tried this, I resorted to restarting the tower power supply. Need to ask Ted.
